Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the G.O.(Ms).No.221 dated 03.10.2025 issued by the 1st Respondent, quash the same and consequently direct the

Respondents to open their website so that all the children including new children can directly make admission in their online portal under Right to Education Act, 2009 for the academic year 20252026 immediately in order to uplift the weaker and disadvantaged sections of student community.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) In this petition, styled as public interest litigation, petitioner has assailed the legality and validity of G.O.Ms.No.221 dated 03.10.2025 on various grounds.

2. Learned State counsel, however, points out that the validity of this G.O. was challenged by Tamil Nadu Private Schools Progressive Association and Tamil Nadu Correspondent Welfare

Association for Private Schools (WCAPS) in W.P.Nos.38747 & 38941 of 2025 respectively and the same were disposed of by the learned Single Judge on 14.10.2025.

3. In that view of the matter, this petition cannot be maintained. Accordingly, it is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the interim application is also dismissed.

4. The dismissal of this petition shall not come in the way of writ petitioners in W.P.Nos.38747 & 38941 of 2025 to take further remedy if they are aggrieved by order dated 14.10.2025 passed therein.
