Prayer:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records from the 1st respondent relating to G.O. (D).638, dated 16.7.2003 granting permission to 2nd respondent to lay off workmen for 6 months and quash the same, Award costs and render justice.

O R D E R

The learned counsel for the writ petitioners state that the wages for the lay off period is the claim made out in the writ petition. However, the respondent mill was close down and not functioning as of now. This apart, the employees, who serve in the mill also opted VRS scheme and relieved from service. 2.This being the factum of the case, there is no point in adjudicating the grounds raised in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
