ORDER
The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to pay the compensation as per prevailing market value for the land measuring an extent of 2398 Sq.ft in S.No.182/1A2 and 2490 Sq.ft in S.No.182/1A1 situated at Pethikuppam Village, Gummudipoondi Taluk, Tiruvallur District by considering representation dated 01.09.2025.
2. Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has purchased two 2/6
properties viz., S.No.182/1A2, measuring an extent of 2398 sq.ft and S.No.182/1A1, measuring an extent of 2490 sq.ft, both situated at Pethikuppam Village, Gummudipoondi Taluk. The said lands were acquired for the expansion of National Highway-5 into Six laning from (Madras-Vijayawada Section) Scheme under the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001. Though the petitioner has made application to the second respondent to fix the compensation for his land as per Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, the respondents have fixed the compensation for the said lands at Rs.15,47,416/-. Therefore, petitioner made a representation dated 01.09.2025, requesting the respondents to pay compensation as per the prevailing market value of the property. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's 3/6
representation dated 01.09.2025.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
