ORDER
The writ petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus to direct respondents 3 and 4 to withdraw the Thakkar appointed to Arulmigu Vasantha Vinayagar Temple, Vasantham Colony, Anna Nagar, Chennai.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the Temple was maintained by Elected Trustees of the Arulmigu Vasantha Vinayar Aalaya Sangam with Government aid. However, in the year 2014, there was interference by the respondents vide O.A.No.3 of 2014, under Section 64(1) of the HR & CE Act. Pending the said application, an Executive Officer was appointed, the same was challenged in W.P.No.20929 of 2014, which came to be allowed. Aggrieved, the petitioner preferred an appeal against the said order, in W.A.No.1372 of 2014, however, the same was dismissed.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the Department is now attempting to reinstate the Executive Officer in March, 2025. The Joint Commissioner has 2/5
dismissed the application filed by the petitioner on 14.03.2025 by way of a nonspeaking order. According to the petitioner, the Sangam also sought for certified copies of documents and submitted representations to the department for appointment of Sangam Members and smooth enrollment of trustees. The writ petitioner seeks to dispose of the said representation without going into the merits and de-merits of the members of the Sangam.

Considering the limited relief sought for, it would suffice to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 28.04.2025 submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 11.11.2025 Speaking (or) Non Speaking Order Index : Yes/ No mka 3/5
