ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 190, 191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 125 & 351(3) of BNS Act 2023 and 145(b), 152, 153 of Railways Act, 1989 and 25(1)(a) of the Arms Act, 1959, in Crime No.304 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner, who is a college student, with a view to threaten the other college students, exhibited a knife on the railway station platform, and further threw stones on the passengers, which resulted in creating panic, and scared the passengers. Hence, the case.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent; that he has been falsely implicated in this case; the petitioner has no bad antecedents and in any case, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required and sought anticipatory bail. 4.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and, on instructions, submitted that the name of the petitioner is specifically mentioned in the FIR and he wielded a patta knife and the same is also captured in the CCTV footage and investigation in this case is pending. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the fact that the investigation in this case is pending and 2/4

the petitioner's act has caused panic to the general public, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
