O R D E R

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 01.10.2025, for the offence punishable under Section 4(1)(A) of TNP Act, in Crime No.192 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 30 nos. liquor bottles of 180 ml brandy, worth about Rs.6,000/. Hence, the case.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner has been in custody since 01.10.2025 and therefore prayed for grant of bail.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner, submitting that the petitioner has 6 previous cases. 2/4

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the gravity of the offences and bad antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
