2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that, this Court, by order dated 07.11.2025 allowed this petition. However, in the cause title, inadvertently a typographical error has crept in, wherein the name of the 1 st petitioner has been wrongly typed as Vijay instead of Vijaya, which requires to be modified.

3. This Court perused the order dated 07.11.2025, more particularly, the cause title and this Court is satisfied that the name of the 1 st petitioner has been wrongly typed as Vijay instead of Vijaya, and the same has to be necessarily modified.

4. Registry is directed to carry out the aforesaid correction in respect of the name of the 1 st petitioner and issue fresh order copies to the parties. 1/9

5. All the other observations made in the earlier order dated 07.11.2025 shall remain intact.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the District & Sessions Court for SC & ST Act Cases, Salem, to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consequently consider their bail petition on the same day, on merits, in connection with Crime No.362 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police.

In view of the specific bar under Section 18 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and also taking into consideration the possibility of misusing the pious intention of the Parliament against innocent persons, there shall be a direction to the District & Sessions Court for SC & ST Act Cases, Salem, to consider the petitioners' bail application, preferably on the same day of their surrender, in 5/9

connection with Crime No.362 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court concerned within a period of fifteen days from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order.
