The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(A) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.385 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner joining hands with other accused was found in illegal possession of 60 grams of ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. When the matter was taken up for today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the investigation in this case was completed and the final report was also filed and the same has been taken on file in STC.No.286 of 2025. It is further submitted that summons have been issued to the petitioner, which are yet to be served.

4. Considering the fact that the case has been taken on file for trial as a summary trial, and there is no apprehension of arrest to the petitioner, since only summons have been issued, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the concerned court in accordance with law.
