ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to act upon the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 30.09.2025, wherein, the petitioner has requested for cutting down two tamarind trees which are causing damage to the property belonging to the petitioner. 2.Heard Mr.P.Ganesan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.

3/6 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that there are two tamarind trees in S.No.585 which is classified as a Government Poramboke land. The roots of the tamarind trees are causing damage to the property belonging to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation requesting the respondents to cut down the tree. Based on the same, the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 30.09.2025, directed the 3rd respondent to take appropriate action and submit a report. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent has not acted upon the direction given by the 2nd respondent. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to do the needful based on the direction issued by the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 30.09.2025, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
