O R D E R

The petitioner herein, apprehending arrest at the hands of the 1/5

respondent police in Crime No.1 of 2025 for the alleged offences under Sections 120B & 420 IPC on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused had promised the defacto complainant to give a huge share of profit in the business project and cheated him. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the other persons who have worked along with A1 stated that they are not accused, they filed a petition for anticipatory bail before the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Coimbatore. The allegation levelled against the petitioner was in the year 2019. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the 2/5

transaction took place in the year 2019 and earlier all these cases were investigated into by the local police and now transferred to CBCID. Hence there is a delay in registration of case and the investigation is in preliminary stage. A total sum of Rs.48,15,000/- was collected from 75 individuals. Hence, he opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, coupled with the fact that a total sum of Rs.48,15,000/- was collected from 75 individuals and that the investigation is in preliminary stage, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed.
