ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a limited relief. The petitioner seeks for an early disposal of his appeal dated 18.11.2024 pending on the file before the 2nd respondent, aggrieved by the issuance of patta in favour of the 5th respondent.

2. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and Ms.Akila Rajendran, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 3 and 4. Since no adverse order is passed against the 5th Page No.2 of 6

respondent, notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with in this writ petition.

3. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation/appeal is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, after hearing the objections of the 5th respondent as well as any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire.

4. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation/appeal.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation/appeal, dated 18.11.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the objections of the 5th respondent as well as any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire, and by adhering to the principles of natural justice.

6. With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
