The District Collector (Development Department, District Collector Office, Tiruvarur-610 004 Respondent PRAYER -Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to fix the subsistence allowance at the rate of 75 % of the petitioner's last drawn salary with effect from 01.02.2021 and pay the difference amount and also fix the provisional pension at 50 % based on last drawn salary with effect of the petitioner's date of superannuation i.e., 31.07.2022 and continue to pay the provisional pension including the past arrears to till the final decision taken by the respondent.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondent to fix the subsistence allowance at the rate of 75% of the petitioner's last drawn salary with effect from 01.02.2021 and pay the difference amount and also fix the provisional pension at 50% based on last drawn salary with effect of the petitioner's date of superannuation i.e., 31.07.2022 and continue to pay the provisional pension including the past arrears to till the final decision taken by the respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the request made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in the light of GO.(Ms).No.47 dated 29.08.2025 within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
