O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to pay a sum of Rs.24,574 /- towards outstanding dearness allowance along with 18% per annum interest for the belated period of payment to the petitioner within stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner had worked as a Senior Trade Man in the respondent Corporation and retired from service on 30.04.2023. Though the petitioner was settled with terminal benefits, there were arrears of dearness allowance. The said arrears were also confirmed through the information furnished to the petitioner under the provisions of the Right to Information Act.

4. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to disburse the 2/4

petitioner's outstanding dearness allowance, together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated period of payment, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
