ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 11.08.2025 which was forwarded from the 1st respondent and issue legal heir certificate to the petitioner.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner mother died on 16.12.2008. He father was died on 24.08.1990. She is the only legal heir to them. When she approached the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board to obtain the ownership of the property, it was stated that the legal heir certificate which was obtained by the petitioner dated 11.05.2018 was cancelled. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 11.08.2025. The 3 rd respondent issued summon to the petitioner to appear before it for enquiry on 11.09.2025. The petitioner also appeared for the enquiry. But no legal heir certificate is issued. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the third respondent to conclude the proceedings dated 26.08.2025 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 submitted that the proceedings will be concluded within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is passed against the 6 th respondent, notice to the 6 th respondent is dispensed with.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the third respondent to conclude the proceedings dated 26.08.2025 after providing opportunity to the necessary parties within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs 10-11-2025 rli
