ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, directing the respondents to consider petitioner's representations dated 19.11.2024 and 18.12.2024.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the proprietor of PSM Chamber Bricks, a licensed brick kiln operating on patta lands in Pannimadai Village, Coimbatore. The kiln has been functional since 2003 under valid permissions issued by the Department of Geology and Mining. However, the said lands were subsequently acquired by the Government. The petitioner was not permitted to remove or sell the bricks from the acquired lands on the ground that the license had expired. The petitioner preferred appeals before the TNPCB Appellate Authority. Consequently, approximately 80,000 raw bricks remain unutilized at the site. The petitioner also submitted a representation to the Tahsildar seeking permission to utilize the already procured raw material from the quarry for 2/5
personal use in view of the ongoing land acquisition. However, no order was passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would nd suffice, if a direction is issued to the 2 respondent to consider the petitioner's representations within a reasonable time.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the nd respondents would submit that the 2 respondent will consider the petitioner's representations and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.
5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the nd petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2 respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 19.11.2024 and 18.12.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 3/5
