... Respondents / 1 Respondent These cases are taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.K. Varadha Kamaraj, learned counsel for the

claimants and M/s. Sai Srujan Tayi, learned counsel for the Insurance company are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.38,55,000/-, with interest at 7.5% per annum, from the date of petition till the date of realization. Aggrieved by the award of the Tribunal, the claimants preferred the appeal in C.M.A.No.3716 of 2025 and the insurance company had preferred the appeal in C.M.A.No.428 of 2026.

2. After due deliberation and consultation, both the parties have agreed to settle the award to a sum of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs Only), as full quit compensation inclusive of the interest.

3. Hence, the insurance company is directed to deposit the amount of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs Only), less the amount already deposited, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, to the credit of M.C.O.P.No.3961 of 2021 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (IV Court of Small Causes, Chennai) and on such deposit, the claimants are directed to withdraw the same in equal share.

4. The Tribunal is directed to transfer the above said award amount to the Bank accounts of the claimants by way of NEFT / RTGS, on proper identification, in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition.

5. In the result, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal in C.M.A.No.3716 of 2025 is disposed of accordingly and the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal in C.M.A.No.428 of 2026 is closed. Consequently, connected civil miscellaneous petitioners, if any stand closed. No costs.
