ORDER

Aggrieved by the quantum of interim maintenance fixed by the family court, the petitioner/husband has come before this court.

2. The petitioner filed a petition for divorce against the respondent in HMOP No.62 of 2024. Pending original petition, the respondent/wife filed an application in I.A.No.3 of 2025 seeking interim maintenance at Rs.50,000/- per month. The Trial

Court, taking into consideration the attending circumstances, fixed interim maintenance at Rs.8,000/-. The petitioner was also directed to pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- towards litigation expenses.

3. A perusal of the impugned order and the other documents filed in the typed set of papers would indicate that the petitioner/husband is a Chief Engineer in a Marine ship. It is also seen from the impugned order that petitioner/husband failed to file affidavit of assets and liabilities, as per law settled by the Apex Court. Considering the qualification and occupation of the petitioner, an amount of Rs.8,000/-, fixed by the family Court as interim maintenance to his wife is reasonable one. I do not find any error in the order passed by the family court.

4. Accordingly, this civil revision petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 14.11.2025 MST To The District Judge, Family Court, Cuddalore.
