The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent Police to grant police protection to the revenue authorities while surveying his land admeasuring 12 cents, comprised in Survey No.329/4.0.69 situated at Azhagappa Samuthiram, Kodampuzhiyur Taluk, Cuddalore District.
When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there are boundary disputes pending between the petitioner and fifth respondent. He further submitted 2/6
that if the petitioner files an appropriate application before the authorities concerned for surveying his land and thereafter, if a request emanates from the Revenue Authorities, the respondent Police are ready to provide protection.
In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to give application before the Revenue Authorities concerned for fixing a date for survey. If a date is fixed and if a request is given by the Revenue Authority seeking protection, it shall be duly considered by the respondent. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
