Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to include the petitioner in the list of NRI eligible candidates for admission to the ALL INDIA MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA 2025-2026 and and permit him to participate in the IV Counselling Rounds of Tamil Nadu MBBS NEET - UG 2025-2026 under the NRI quota for admission to the MBBS Course 2025-2026 and pass orders.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to include the petitioner in the list of NRI eligible candidates for admission in the ALL INDIA MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA 2025-2026 and to permit him to participate in the IV Counselling Rounds of Tamil Nadu MBBS NEET-UG 2025-2026 under the NRI quota, for admission to the MBBS Course 2025-2026.

Mr.A.Kumaraguru, learned Senior Panel Counsel on behalf of respondents 1 and 2; Ms.Shubharanjani Ananth, learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent and Mr.K.Tippu Sultan, learned Government Advocate for the fifth respondent.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the third round of medical counselling is over both for the State quota as well as for All India quota, and it has already reached the stage of stray counselling. At this stage, there is no question of permitting the candidates for medical counselling under the NRI quota.

5. In the light of the above development, no order can be passed in this writ petition and accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No costs. 05.11.2025 Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order ds 3/4
