Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.

2. Mrs.P.Selvi, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of respondents 3 and 4.

3. Notice to the private respondent No.5 is dispensed with, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed in this Writ Petition.

4. The petitioner has sent a representation dated 29.09.2025 to respondents 1 to 3, requesting them to assess separate property tax for six Page No. 2 of 5

houses.

5. It appears that the petitioner is only an agreement holder in respect of certain properties belonging to the fifth respondent, with whom he has entered into a sale agreement after paying an advance amount. It is noticed that no sale deed has been registered so far. As the petitioner, being only an agreement holder, has no right to claim assessment of the property. He is advised to approach the respondents after the sale deed is registered in this favour.

6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondents as and when the sale deed is registered in his favour. No costs.
