The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to take action against the second respondent, based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2025. 2.
When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint alleging trademark violation against the second respondent. He further submitted that the complaint was originally given to the first respondent and has now been transferred to the Intellectual Property Rights 2/7
Enforcement Cell. He also submitted that the present Writ Petition is not maintainable, as it is in other way seeking a direction to register a First Information Report. However, he submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2025 will be considered by the Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Cell and appropriate orders will be passed. 3.
Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the Inspector of Police, Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Cell, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2025, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.
Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
