The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(c), 4(1-A)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024 in Crime No. 171 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the respondent police was on regular search and found that the petitioner was involved in 30 litres of liquor in the lorry tube. Hence, the complaint.
3. This Court earlier dismissed the bail application filed by the petitioner vide order dated 26.09.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.26592 of 2025 on the following reasons;
"5.Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, taking note of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), investigation is pending and the nature of offences though he is having no previous bad antecedents, considering that huge quanity of liquor has been transported, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner." has not made out any case of change in circumstances.
4. Considering the huge quantity of liquor has been transported and taking note of the fact that this Court had dismissed the earlier petition filed by
the petitioner again and again, the petitioner repeatedly approached this Court for anticipatory bail without surrender. Hence I am not inclined to revisit the earlier order passed by this Court. According, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
