ORDER
The revision petitioners are tenants who have suffered concurrent orders of eviction before the Rent Court as well as the Rent Tribunal. The respondents/landlords sought for recovery of possession in RLTOP No.688 of 2022 on the file of the XI Judge, Small Causes Court, Chennai (Rent Court) under Section 21(2)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017 alleging failure to enter into tenancy agreement. The said RLTOP No.688 of 2022 was allowed as against which, the petitioners preferred an appeal in RLTA No.53 of 2025 and the Rent Tribunal, by judgment dated 26.09.2025, dismissed the appeal.
2. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, I have indicated that there is no merit in the revision, at which point of time, the learned counsel for the petitioners/tenants sought for reasonable time to enable the petitioners to vacate and hand over vacant possession.
3. After deliberation, it was agreed that the petitioners/tenants should be given time till 31.03.2026.

4. Today, the first petitioner has filed an affidavit of undertaking dated 02.12.2025, for himself and on behalf of the petitioners 2 and 3 who are none else than his son and daughter, undertaking to vacate the tenanted premises on or before 31.03.2026.
5. The said affidavit of undertaking dated 02.12.2025 is recorded.
6. In view of the above, the civil revision petition is dismissed. The petitioners shall however, granted time till 31.03.2026 to vacate and hand over vacant possession to the respondents.
