Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's request and expedite the process of releasing the payment for labour and materials amounting to INR 3,83,402.78/- (Indian Rupees Three Lakhs Eighty Three Thousand Four Hundred and Two and Seventy Eight Paise).

ORDER
The petitioner claims that a sum of Rs.3,83,402.78/- is due from the Block Development Officer, Tirukoilur to him. This amount reflects the balance, which is payable to the petitioner for construction of a well in the agricultural land situated at Keezhathazhanur Village, Tirukoilur Taluk, Kallakurichi District. The petitioner states that he has completed the work as per the construction contract and out of a sum of Rs.7,48,000/-, the respondent had not disbursed a sum of Rs.3,83,402.78. Hence, this writ petition.
2. When the matter came up, Mrs.C.Meera Arumugham representing the respondents 1 to 6 and Mr.P.Ganesan, representing
the 7th respondent state that the petitioner's bill will be cleared once the Central Government releases the fund under the MGNREGA scheme. To that effect, an affidavit of undertaking has also been filed. The undertaking affidavit is scanned and extracted hereunder:
