ORDER
The writ petition is filed challenging the order of suspension dated 17.10.2025 and for a direction to the respondent to reinstate the petitioner in service.
2. The petitioner was initially appointed as Conductor on 02.02.2006. Subsequently, he was appointed as a Conductor on the scale of pay on 16.08.2010. While being so, on 12.10.2025, when the petitioner was posted as Conductor in Puducherry, Thirupathi Route, trainee checking Inspectors boarded the bus for checking. At the time of checking, there were 23 passengers on Board including three passengers who travelled with reservation. Further, they found that the passengers paid money but they were not issued tickets. In view of the above, the disciplinary proceedings was contemplated as against the petitioner and also suspended the petitioner from service in exercise of the powers conferred under Clause 87 (A:1) of the Notification No.102 in guidelines for punishment in disciplinary cases of the Puducherry Road Transport Corporation Limited.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the order impugned in 2/5
this writ petition does not whisper about the payment of subsistence allowance. Whether it is to be treated as suspension order or punishment under Clause 87 of guidelines for punishment in disciplinary cases.

Learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent, on instructions, clarified that it is the order of suspension and if the petitioner is eligible for subsistence allowance, it will be paid. Further, the petitioner was suspended only on 17.10.2025 and without even waiting for one month, the petitioner has challenged the order of suspension. That apart, the petitioner is now facing disciplinary proceedings.

In view of the above, if the petitioner is eligible for subsistence allowance, the respondent is directed to pay the subsistence allowance to the petitioner, in accordance with law and complete the disciplinary proceedings as against the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. WMP Nos.46821 and 3/5
