Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the Lock and Seal affixed by the respondents in the building located at R.S.No.1761/2 & 1764/1, Door No.171, Portuguese Church Street, Sevenwells, Chennai 600 001, for a period fixed by this Court to enable me to demolish the violated portion in the building and consequently direct the respondents to approve the revised plan. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Though a prayer is made to allow the petitioners to demolish the violated portion in the building, we are not inclined to grant this liberty to the petitioners as that would amount to withdrawing or cancelling the lock and seal order.

Petition is, therefore, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. WMP No.46224 of 2025 filed by petitioners to permit them to join and file a single writ petition stands allowed, inasmuch as separate court fee has been paid. Consequently, WMP No.46225 of 2025 stands closed.
