The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 18.10.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 309(6), 311, 351(3) of BNS in Crime No.421 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, in association with other accused persons, attacked the defacto complainant and robbed a sum of Rs.1,200/-. Hence, the present case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and that he has been in judicial custody since 08.10.2025. It is further submitted that the petitioner is a college student studying at Nandanam Arts College, Chennai. The petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed that bail may be granted to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is not a college student, but is only studying in the 10th standard. It was further submitted that the petitioner had attacked the defacto complainant with a knife and that he has four previous cases of a similar nature. Hence, he opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner. 2/4
5. Considering the gravity and nature of the offence and the fact that the petitioner has four previous cases of a similar nature, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
