ORDER

Mrs.S. Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner is the wife of late A.B. Rajaram, who died on 15.07.2025 due to illness. Consequent to his death, the petitioner submitted an application on 30.07.2025 seeking issuance of a Legal Heirship Certificate. It is the grievance of the petitioner that both the 2nd and 3rd respondents refused to entertain her application on the ground of jurisdiction, with each authority shifting the responsibility to the other, thereby the petitioner's request was kept pending. Hence, this writ petition has been filed seeking appropriate directions by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. During the earlier proceedings, this Court, directed the learned Special Government Pleader to ascertain and inform the Court as to the competent authority for issuance of the Legal Heirship Certificate in the petitioner's case. Pursuant to the said directions, today, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent will entertain the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders thereon. 2/4

Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 30.07.2025 for issuance of Legal Heirship Certificate and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
