Respondent(s) PRAYER Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the 4th respondent to consider and to pass appropriate orders based on Petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2025 requesting to survey and to lay boundary stones to petitioner's agricultural land comprised in Survey No.8/7, situate at Athiyur Village, Anaicult Taluk, Vellore District admeasuring an extent of 0.69 hectares (1/70 acres), as per the revenue records, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 07.4.2025, where in the petitioner is seeking for the survey of the subject property and for laying the boundary stones with respect to the subject property.

2.Heard Mr.D.Thirumoorthy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.Indhu Bala, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 6.

3.The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of a registered gift deed dated 20.8.1993. Thereafter, the petitioner has

executed settlement deeds on 09.5.2018 and 4.10.2019 in favour of granddaughter and son respectively. A joint patta has already been issued to the petitioner and others in Patta No.850.

4.The petitioner submitted an application on 07.4.2025 for survey of the subject property and for laying the boundary. Since the same has not been acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 4th respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 07.04.2025 and conduct the survey based on the title documents and joint patta that stands in the name of the petitioner. This process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. If there are any other interest parties, such survey shall be conducted in their presence.
