ORDER

The petitioner/A2, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.10.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 309(6), 311, 351(3) of BNS in Crime No.421 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, in association with other accused persons, attacked the defacto complainant and robbed a sum of Rs.1,200/-. Hence, the present case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and that he has been in judicial custody since 08.10.2025. The petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed that bail may be granted to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant and robbed a sum of Rs.1,200/- at knife point and that he has 7 previous cases of a similar nature. Hence, he opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the gravity and nature of the offence and the fact that the petitioner has 7 previous cases of a similar nature, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
