COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed for a direction, directing the second respondent to consider the representations dated 16.02.2024 and 02.12.2024 submitted by the petitioners seeking rejoin duty as Sanitary Worker/Street Light Operator with all consequential service and monetary benefits.

2. The petitioners were engaged as a Sanitary Worker/Street Maintenance by the executive officer of the Sholinganallur panchayat. Thereafter, their services were merged with the Chennai City Corporation in the year 2011. They were continuously engaged with this work. However, subsequently, they were disengaged since they were continuously absent due to Covid-19. Now, they submitted representations dated 16.02.2024 and 02.12.2024 seeking permission to rejoin their duty as Sanitary Worker/Street Light Operator.

3. On instructions, learned Standing Counsel submitted that they were disengaged in the year 2022, after three years their services are not required now. Therefore, the representations submitted by the petitioners cannot be considered.

4. In view of the above, the writ petitions are devoid of merits and hence, the writ petitions are dismissed. No costs.
