ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated on 15.04.2025 in consonance with the Government order (Nilai) No.102 Department of Highways and Minor Ports (HM2) dated 16.08.2024 and direct the respondents to appoint the petitioners herein in the existing or future vacancies as Technical Assistant in regular time scale of pay.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. A perusal of records reveals that the petitioner had worked as Technical Assistant on daily wage basis in the third respondent in the year 1992. Thereafter, they were not engaged for any work. Now, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking employment that too in the regular time scale of pay. The petitioner was already disengaged from work which was already given to the petitioner long back.

4. Therefore, after a period of several years, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered. If at all the petitioner is eligible to be appointed to any particular post, the petitioner has to participate in the recruitment process to secure appointment.

5. In view of the above, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 11.11.2025 Internet: Yes Index : Yes/No Speaking/Non Speaking order mn
