This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to call for the records in Crime No.1861 of 2021 on the file of the 1st respondent Inspector of Police, M-4, Redhills Police Station, Chennai District for the offence under sections 341, 294(b), 324, and 506(ii) IPC @ 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 324 & 506(ii) of IPC and quash the same.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect. He would further submit that a direction may be issued to the respondent to file a final report at the earliest.
3. Considering the above submission and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. However, taking into consideration the fact that the case is of the year 2021, a direction is issued to the first respondent to file a final report as expeditious as possible, preferably within a period of two months from today.
