ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to implement the order, which has already been passed by the 2nd respondent dated 26.09.2025 and to restore the patta in the name of the petitioner. 2.

Heard T.Sundar Rajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate for 5th respondent.

The case of the petitioner is that his father had purchased 19 cents of land through a registered Sale Deed dated 23.02.1934 registered as document No.343 of 1934. The petitioner's father had gifted nearly 11 cents of land to the Panchayat Union for public access to the burial ground and had retained 8 cents in Survey No.1279/1B1. Patta was also issued in his name on 20.07.1974. Upon the demise of the petitioner's parents, the petitioner claims to be the absolute owner of the property measuring an extent of 8 cents in

Survey No.1279/1B1. The petitioner came to know that the respondents 6 and 7 had fraudulently obtained joint patta in their names with respect to the subject property. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application / representation before the 2nd respondent and the 2nd respondent passed an order dated 26.09.2015 giving a finding that the patta was erroneously transferred in the names of two private individuals during the UDR Scheme. 4.

Pursuant to the above order, the petitioner made a representation to the 3rd respondent on 26.09.2025 requesting for implementing the orders passed by the 2nd respondent. Since there was no response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 26.09.2015, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to issue necessary proceedings within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
