O R D E R

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 22(a), 25, 29 (1) of 1/6

NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No. 281 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner is ranked as A9 in this case, he along with other accused had transported 2.5 grams of Methamphetamine illegally and the contraband was seized from the arrested accused by the respondent police. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the seized contraband is not commercial quantity and the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case based on the confession of arrested accused. He also submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and ready to furnish sufficient solvent sureties for his release. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/6

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent police, reiterated the prosecution case and submits that the statement of the arrested accused has recorded and the petitioner is having three previous cases, not similar in nature. However, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsels and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the fact that the petitioner had involved in transportation of 2.5 grams of Methamphetamine to the other co-accused; that the petitioner is having three previous cases; that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required in this case; this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 3/6
