ORDER

When this Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing today, it is brought to the notice of this Court that aggrieved by the Order passed in W.P.No.23207 of 2019 dated 25.04.2025, the respondents/contemners herein have preferred a Writ Appeal in W.A.No.1547 of 2026 and the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court had admitted the said Writ Appeal on 17.06.2026.

2. It is also informed to this Court that the Hon'ble Division Bench was also pleased to grant an Order of Interim Stay in the matter.

In view of the aforesaid submission, since the Order, which is alleged as having been wilfullyviolated by the respondents, is subject matter of Appeal before the Hon'ble Division Bench, and the Hon'ble Division Bench having granted interim stay, this Court is of the view that the present Contempt Petition cannot be proceeded with. Further, since, the subject matter is pending for consideration before this Hon'ble Division Bench, no useful purpose would be served in keeping this Contempt Petition on the file of this Court.

4. Recording the same, this Contempt Petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to seek revival of the Contempt Petition on disposal of the Writ Appeal or cause in the contempt continuing to survive thereafter. No costs. Consequently, the connected Sub Application is also closed.
