ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 351(4) of BNS and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act in Crime No. 325 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was engaged by the husband of the de-facto complainant for the purpose of threatening her with dire consequences, and since the petitioner is having bad antecedents. Accordingly, this petitioner is also called the de-facto complainant through phone and threatened her with dire consequences. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that already the 1st petitioner was granted anticipatory bail on 23.10.2025 in Crl.O.P.No. 26729 of 2025 and the petitioner is also ready to co-operate with the investigation. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent reiterated the prosecution case and reported that the petitioner has been engaged by the de-facto complainant's husband, he threatened the defacto complainant with dire consequences and also stated that he regularly 2/4

follows the school going children and also intimated that unless the criminal case against her husband is withdrawn, she cannot live. The petitioner is also having five previous cases.

5. Considering the serious allegations levelled against the petitioner and also the fact that the petitioner is having five previous cases similar in nature, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
