Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to forthwith disburse to the petitioner the arrears of pay and allowances for the post of Deputy Collector and District Revenue Officer, together with interest thereon from the year 2010, based on the inclusion of his name in the panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Collector and the consequential promotion to the post of District Revenue Officer, and accordingly revise the pensionary benefits and pay interest on the delayed payments until the date of actual disbursement and extend all consequential retirement benefits. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the arrears of pay and allowances to the petitioner for the posts of Deputy Collector and District Revenue Officer, together with
interest from the year 2010, based on the inclusion of his name in the panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Collector and the consequential promotion to the post of District Revenue Officer, and accordingly revise the pensionary benefits and pay interest on the delayed payments until the date of actual disbursement and to extend all consequential retirement benefits. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3.Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
