O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to act upon the representation made by the petitioner, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for correction in the date of birth in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) which was issued in the year 1986-1987.
2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
3. In the considered view of this Court, the petitioner has chosen to undertake the correction at the fag end of his service in order to enable him to 2/4
correct the date of birth in the service records. The petitioner is now aged about 58 years and it is too late in the day for the petitioner to seek for correction to the date of birth in the SSLC of the year 1986-1987. The claim made by the petitioner is clearly barred by laches and this Court does not find any merits in the writ petition and accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed.
