ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the 2 nd respondent to disburse the compensation amount calculated at the rate of Rs.4892.85 per square Metre along with the interest at the rate of 12 percentage per annum by considering petitioner representation dated 03.10.2025.

2.Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the owner of the property situated in Survey No.30/6, Virudhachalam. The said land was acquired by the respondents for widening the bridge across Manimutharu in Virudhachalam bypass road. The respondents fixed a compensation amount of Rs.116.14 per Square Metre. However, for the adjacent lands, the respondents have fixed Rs,4892.85 per square metre. Though the petitioner's land and adjacent lands are of the same nature and characteristics, the respondents have granted lower compensation for the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 16.09.2025 before the respondents seeking equal compensation as calculated to the adjacent land owners. Since there was no response for the said representation, the

petitioner again made a detailed representation on 03.10.2025 through their Advocate. However, till date the same has not been considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 13.10.2025 will be considered and disposed of at the earliest point of time. 5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on records.

6.Considering the submissions made by either parties and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.10.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance

with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
