ORDER

The petitioners apprehend arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 85, 115(2), 351(2) of BNS 2023 in Crime No.149 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the 1st petitioner is the husband. Second petitioner is mother-in-law of the de facto complainant. They continuously harassed the victim, and on 23.10.2025 at about 5:30 PM, both attacked her and also forcibly poured some liquid on her mouth. She drank it and immediately rushed to the hospital and from the hospital, she lodged the complaint. Hence, the complaint was registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the de facto complainant herself voluntarily drank phenol and a false complaint has been lodged. Hence,he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) reported that investigation in this case is pending and the victim was discharged from the hospital. He further submitted that the petitioners have poured acid on the

victim's mouth and caused injury. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Considering the nature of the allegation that they administered acid to the victim and caused severe injuries, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
