ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 11.07.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought survey of the subject property and for demarcation of boundaries.

2. Heard Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 & 2 and Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] appearing for third respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the owner 2/4

of the subject property by virtue of a sale deed dated 07.02.2024 registered as document No.2344/2024. The patta was also issued in the name of the petitioner in Patta No.10231. The petitioner submitted an application by paying necessary charges on 11.07.2025 seeking survey of the subject property and demarcation of boundaries. Since the same was not acted upon, the present petition has been filed.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to act upon the application submitted by petitioner and conduct survey in the subject property based on the title document and the patta that stands in the name of the petitioner. Since the fourth respondent is objecting, such survey shall be conducted in his presence. If required, it is left open to respondents 1 and 2 to take police aid from the third respondent to ensure that the process of survey is conducted without giving rise to any law and order problem. This process shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
