ORDER

(made by N.Sathish Kumar, J.) This writ petition (criminal) has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to grant six days emergency leave without escort to the petitioner's son viz. Rahuman, S/o.Zakir Hussain, aged 33 years, Convict No.5249, Convict Prisoner, Central Prison, Puzhal. 2.

According to the petitioner, he is in custody for more than nine years and now he requires emergency leave due to his wife's ill health, as she has to undergo uterus surgery. In this regard, he has already given a representation dated 25.10.2025 to the respondent. 3.

As the representation is already given by the petitioner, the respondent shall consider the same within a period of one week and pass

orders on merits. If the petitioner is entitled to emergency leave on medical ground, the same shall be considered. Every matter cannot be dragged to the Courts when the authorities have power to grant such leave and such power shall be exercised judicially taking note of the real need. With the above direction, this writ petition (criminal) stands disposed of.
