(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR.J.,) The petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 1822 days in filing the above appeal against the order of conviction.

2. Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

3. Considering the fact that the accused is in jail from the date of conviction, no legal aid has been provided and now only he is able to engage a counsel, this petition is allowed and the delay of 1822 days in filing the appeal is condoned.

4. Registry is directed to number the appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order.
