ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 16.06.2025 passed by the first respondent, thereby rejecting the request made by the petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate ground. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3.The petitioner's husband's employment itself was under challenge and this Court had ordered grant of family pension and other service benefits to the petitioner.

4.After a lapse of eight years, the application submitted by the petitioner seeking employment on compassionate ground cannot be considered, since the compassionate appointment should be given within a period of three years from the date of demise of the employee. Further, the petitioner's family is not in

indigent circumstances. Therefore, the request made by the petitioner was rightly rejected.

5.In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the order dated 16.06.2025 passed by the first respondent. Thus, the writ petition lacks merit and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 25.11.2025 Internet: Yes Index : Yes/No Lpp To 1.The Commissioner of Municipal Administration, 11th Floor Urban Administrative Building, Opp. to Cciba Building, No.75, Santhome High Road, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai - 600 028.
