ORDER
These writ petitions have been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to restore the patta and other revenue records in favour of the writ petitioners with respect to the subject property.

Heard Mr.A.V.Arun, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.C.Jaya Prakash, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3.

The case of the petitioners is that they purchased the subject property vide Sale Deed dated 18.04.2001 and 31.12.2001 respectively. The patta was also in the name of the petitioners in Patta Nos.6 and 66.

The lands were originally classified as Poramboke and later, they were reclassified as Assessed Waste Dry lands and the assignments were granted to the members of the Anna Porters Association under Revenue Standing Order No.15. 5.
The assignments were made by the respondents in the year 1980 to all the assignees for agricultural purposes. A further restriction was also imposed to the effect that the lands could not be sold for a period of ten years.

The specific case of the petitioners is that after the expiry of the period of ten years during which period the land was utilised for agricultural purpose, the lands were sold to the petitioners and thereafter they were in possession and enjoyment of the property
and the patta was also transferred in their name. 7.
Based on the complaint received, the 1st respondent cancelled the original assignments without issuing notice to the petitioners and his vendors. Consequently, the 3rd respondent also removed the entries made in the revenue records. 8.
Aggrieved by the cancellation of the original assignments, several alienees filed writ petitions before this Court in WP Nos.18165 to 18177 of 2013 and these writ petitions were allowed by an order dated 16.04.2018 and this Court quashed the order of cancellation made by the 1st respondent.

The petitioners therefore made a representation to the respondents seeking for restoration of the name of the petitioners in the revenue records. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 10.
In the considered view of this Court, the petitioners are relying upon the earlier order passed by this Court in WP Nos.18165
to 18177 dated 16.04.2018 and also the order of the Division Bench of this Court in WA No.2360 to 2370 of 2023 dated 18.07.2024 wherein the appeals were dismissed and other petitions filed to condone the delay in filing the Writ appeals were also dismissed. Accordingly, the petitioners are also seeking for the same relief to restore their name in the revenue records.

Considering the above, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 26.09.2025 based on the earlier orders passed by this Court and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

These writ petitions are disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
