.. Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the entire records of the order issued by the 1st respondent, vide G.O.(Ms.) No.81, dated

01.08.2025 and quash the same in consideration of the representation dated 15.10.2025 not to demolish the ancient building constructed around 1857.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed seeking issuance of a direction restraining the respondents from developing new construction for the office of Sub-Registrar only on the ground that the present building, in which the office is being run, is a very old building and should be protected.

2. There is nothing in the petition to show that how the construction of new office is against public interest. The petition only appears to be an attempt to forestall the construction of new building for development of public institution, which is against public interest.
