ORDER

(made by N.Sathish Kumar, J.) The present writ petition (criminal) has been filed calling for the records pertaining to the order bearing No.908/Mu.Vu/2025, dated 14.08.2025 passed by the first respondent and quash the same and consecutively direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 30 days without escort to the detenu Gokul, S/o.Raju, aged about 26 years, PID.No.298037, detained at the Central Prison, Coimbatore. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that her son is in confinement for the last four years; the first respondent vide order dated 14.08.2025 granted 21 days ordinary leave with police escort to her son, challenging which, she has preferred the present petition.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is not in a position to bear the expenses of the police escort, since the petitioner and her husband are living alone without any assistance and managing their livelihood with some pension amount and some farming work.

Though the learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the petitioner and her husband are in such poverty, so that, they are not in a position to afford the police escort, no materials have been placed before this Court to prove the same.

In such view of the matter, we are not inclined to interfere with the impugned order, as the first respondent has provided only minimum escort.

Hence, this writ petition (criminal) stands dismissed. No costs. (N.S.K., J.) (M.J.R., J.)
