ORDER

This criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed seeking to grant a further period of six months to complete the investigation and file a final report as per the order dated 30.06.2025 passed by this Court in Crl.OP.No.17645 of 2025.

2. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the petitioners/respondents submitted that the petitioners/respondents are earnestly proceeding with the investigation and they have suspected involvement of four vehicles and out of the said four vehicles, summonses were issued to two of the vehicles' owners and after investigation, it was found that their involvement is not there and already summonses were issued to the other two vehicles' owners and that the petitioners are 2/6

conducting a fair and proper investigation and major part of the investigation is over. Therefore, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) sought a further period of six (6) months to complete the enquiry and file a charge sheet, in compliance with the order of this court dated 30.06.2025 made in Crl.OP.No.17645 of 2025.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent/petitioner submitted that it is a case of hit and run and the complaint came to be filed during early 2024 and hence, this Court may issue a direction to the petitioners to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of one month from today.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record, particularly the affidavit filed in support of this petition. 3/6

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the time granted by this Court in Crl.OP.No.17645 of 2025 dated 30.06.2025 is extended by a further period of four (4) months from today.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal miscellaneous petition stands disposed of.
