ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.9 of 2025, dated 04.09.2025, registered by the first respondent. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was a member of the Child Welfare Committee; prior to the petitioner's retirement, due to personal enmity, based on the complaint given by other two members of the said Committee, a false case has been registered against the petitioner; and the respondent police have not conducted any investigation with regard to forgery and thereby, he seeks to quash the proceedings. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner, who is a member of the Child Welfare Committee, had forged the signature of other two members, whereby, 32 children were placed in various Homes in Ariyalur District; investigation in this case is at its nascent stage; documents have been sent for forensic examination; there are prima facie materials to show that the petitioner had committed the act
3/4 of forging the signature of the other members and thereby, it is premature to quash the FIR at this stage.
4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the first respondent. Perused the materials available on record.
5.It is seen that the case was registered on 04.09.2025 and it is a case where the petitioner had forged the signature of the other members of the Child Welfare Committee resulting in fabrication of the documents and taking the children to various homes. Taking into consideration, the materials available, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought by the petitioner at this stage. 6.Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. Index:Yes/No 07-11-2025 Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes sli
